1. Classifying, recording and appropriate allocation of expenditure for determination
of the costs of products or services
2. For ascertainment of cost of every job, contract, process, services or order, which
shall include cost of production / operation, selling and distribution.
3. To enable the concern to first measure its efficiency and then to maintain &
improve it by comparing actual cost with the standard or cost unit in one period
with that in another period.
4. To reveal all activities which brings profit & those that result in loss.

To finalize cost data before monthly closing;
To close and release job costing / Process Costing transactions to general ledger;
To supervise area accountants and finalize work flow plan;
To interact with each Operations Mangers to resolve day to day job costing / Process Costing.
To co-ordinate with Job / Process Costing Accountant for reconciling daily Job Costing / Process Costing. transactions with System.
To analyze and rectify closed job transactions;
To communicate with central store, procurement, contract administration / Operation Manager and project managers wherever applicable in cost re-arrangement and allocations;
To analyze each job / Process and find out the reasons for variances between actual vs budget;
Job Specification
To co-ordinate with M.I.S. / budgeting Accountants for any variances before financials closing;
To co-ordinate & assist Senior Accountant / Chief Accountant in daily operations(affecting Cost / Budget)


Reviewing

To review the work of area accountant and project for Job Costing / Process Costing module.


Supporting

To support all the departments and divisions to prepare the budget.

Controlling

Overall controlling of project/service Budget.


Secondary: ( checking, controlling, evaluating, directing, guiding, participating, monitoring, anticipating, utilizing, assisting, advising, helping, meeting, interpreting, feedbacking, organizing, delegating, motivating, training etc.)

Checking

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Primary: policy making, sanctioning, mobilizing, determining, maximizing,
accounting, following, acquiring, averting, executing, improving, value adding, acquiring, resolving, reviewing, abiding, coordinating, supporting, etc.

Accounting

Approval of daily vouchers and month end provisions
Approval of allocation of costs to cost centers.
Approval of batch posting in the system
Analyzing and presenting all daily, weekly, monthly & annual Financial Statements to the Management
Preparing the Annual Financial Budget in Coordination with respective Departmental Heads Divisional Heads and submission of variance analysis report to the management with proper explanations & comments.
Assisting the SBU head in Consolidation of overall Business plans.
Running of monthly depreciation in the system.
Opening of Letter of Credit & Bank Guarantees with Banks.
Overall submissions of Insurance Claims and it settlement, ensuring Assets are properly safeguarded from all risks.
Making all the statements available for External Auditors for the timely finalizing the Annual Accounts & sorting all their queries.
Reviewing

To review the work of subordinates for all financial modules like Asset Control, AR, AP and General Accounting more particularly debtors & Creditors reconciliations, debtors & creditors balance confirmation, Bank Reconciliation, stores & asset verification.

Follow-up

Follow-up for recoveries, which are overdue beyond 90 days.
Follow-up with the department heads & Divisional Regional Heads for the submission of documents in time.
Follow-up with Subordinates & other departmental heads for getting the Audit replies from relevant department.

Supporting

To support all the departments in making the funds available as per approved Cash Budget.
To support the Administration HR Department for making the accounts ready for vacationers, etc. & disbursement of salaries in time.


Controlling

Overall controlling of Budget, ensuring nothing is being disbursed unless there is a proper budget revised budget sanctioned by the management.
Controlling overall fund position including cash advance and optimal utilization of working capital limits.
